Job opportunity for parents looking to earn some income while their kids are in public school.
We are a small ecommerce company specializing in manufacturing pet foods for little pets such as guinea pigs or hermit crabs. We are accepting applications for a warehouse manufacturing associate who will be responsible for mixing and packaging our recipes along with manufacturing some products on a CO2 laser cutter.
This position is part-time, in-person in Sparks, Nevada. It involves 5 hour shifts between 9:30am and 2:30pm 2 to 3 times per week. There is flexibility in which weekdays you select to work.
A typical day involves:
-Packing customer orders from our website.
-Mixing, manufacturing, and packaging inventory
-Boxing inventory for shipment
-Cleaning up workspace and warehouse
-Receiving raw materials and organize warehouse
-Recording inventory levels
-Feeding office animals
-Most times you will be working on your own. You can listen to music or podcasts while working.

-Paid Snow Days/Smoke Days.
-Some flexibility in which weekdays you choose to work. Most weeks need 2-3 shifts of work completed and you can choose the week before which weekdays you want your shift.

Essential Functions:
-Receive Inventory: Inspect for quality issues, receive and organize in warehouse
-Mixing and Kitting: Read recipe and add ingredients to mixer by hand
-Packaging: Add manufactured goods to packaging.
-Pick Pack and Shipping: Ship out inventory directly to customers and retailers or ship case packed or pallets into 3PLs such as Amazon.
-Take Inventory: Keep track of inventory levels.
-Laser Cutter Manufacturing - monitoring and setting up to manufacture products.
-Sanitation: Utilize correct cleaning procedures to complete production and non-production cleaning responsibilities. Set up, tear down, and clean bowls, mixer, other machinery along with general warehouse maintenance including sweeping and mopping.
-Learn additional manufacturing equipment.
-Feeding and maintaining office animals including hermit crabs, bugs, and lizards.
-Maintain regular attendance at work. Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
-Occasionally Lift 40-50 pounds - Most stuff is less than 10 pounds with a lot being less than 1 lb.
-Speak, write and read in English
-Must be able to pass a background check
-Perform math at an intermediate level (multiplication, division, fractions, etc.)
-Work with allergens, such as soy, milk, nuts, seeds, flowers, etc.
-Detail oriented
-Demonstrate range-of-motion, strength, and physical stamina needed to safely perform the job
-Remain alert to safety hazards, maintain attention to stay on task, manage time effectively, and work independently to complete assigned tasks.
-Not scared of insects, reptiles, spiders, hermit crabs etc.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Warehouse experience helpful but not required
Food manufacturing experience would be helpful, but not required
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel,
