Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Construction Laborer to join our team specializing in the construction of residential and small commercial greenhouses, as well as prefabricated steel buildings. The ideal candidate will possess strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment. This position involves physical labor, safe operation of tools and equipment, and adherence to company and industry safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the assembly and installation of greenhouse structures, framing systems, glazing panels, and steel building components.
Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, unloading materials, and setting up tools and equipment.
Operate hand tools, power tools, and light construction equipment safely and efficiently.
Measure, cut, and assemble materials according to project specifications.
Assist with concrete formwork, foundation preparation, and basic site grading.
Safely handle glass, polycarbonate, and metal panels during installation.
Work collaboratively with other crew members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
Follow all company safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free job site.
Qualifications
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience in construction, carpentry, steel erection, or a related field.
Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs repeatedly during the workday.
Comfort working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment.
Strong work ethic, punctuality, and attention to detail.
Preferred:
Experience with greenhouse or prefabricated steel building construction.
Forklift or telehandler certification.
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
Work Environment
Outdoor job sites with exposure to varying weather conditions.
Work at heights using ladders, scaffolding, or aerial lifts.
