The Director, Marketing and Ad Technology Architecture is someone with first-hand experience in building/integrating with and operating a variety of platforms, from messaging technologies (email, mobile push, SMS), Customer Data Platforms (CDP), Advertising Technology (Ad Serving, DSP, SSP), Content Management Systems (CMS)—to the foundational elements around data, identity management and resolution, C360, and tagging and taxonomy.You may need to be "hands-on" to lead technical design and approach—in other situations, you will partner with marketing and business leaders to take their use-cases and translate them into technical requirements. You hold a diverse background which includes brand, SaaS/Platform and consultancy experience. They have a pulse on latest marketing and ad technology trends and work toward being on the leading edge of innovation.This is a senior, visible and matrixed role, leading a small team of solution architects who support our MarTech, lifecycle and marketing teams. You will report to the Vice President of Customer Lifecycle and Marketing Technology. This role is fully remote.You'll have opportunity to:Understand the D2C product and business roadmap, gaps and capabilities of the existing D2C technology and martech stack—to build a short, mid and long-term martech and adtech strategy according to ECS' strategic visionLead platform evaluations; work with technology team and external partners/vendors on assessment approach (pilot and validation) and investment casesLead the technology rollout, adoption, and value realization of selected platform(s) to enhance audience discovery, targeting, and orchestration for first and third-party use-cases, both on and off-propertyDevelop a strategic roadmap for platform and system integrations, cross-platform orchestration and personalization use-casesPartner, lead meetings and communication between marketing and team members and technical teams to translate requirements into technical solutionsLead both the team and peers across the organization, on MarTech / AdTech best practices and latest technologies, to promote high value outcomesSupport daily BAU and product roadmap workstreams; help urgent use-cases and custom approaches to tech/business problems
