Carroll County has an immediate opening for a Chef Supervisor who is responsible for responding to all Mountain View Community and Department of Corrections dietary needs in accordance with the provisions of applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Duties include monitoring staff to ensure all recipes, policies, and procedures are followed, maintaining all health codes to the highest standards meeting local, state, and federal guidelines, ensuring residents’ dietary needs are met according to OBRA regulations, tasting all food for proper flavor, texture, and temperature, assisting in the development and testing of menu items, ensuring proper portions and temperatures are adhered to during meal time service, and presenting food in a timely and appealing manner.
The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent with 3 years’ experience in the food service industry. Must be able to cook a variety of foods including, but not limited to meat, sauces, vegetables, soups, salads, and sandwiches, follow standardized recipes, and work with frequent interruptions. This position requires “Serve Safe Certification.”
Full time 40 hours per week with a variable schedule: days/evenings/weekends.
