JOB PURPOSE:
The Mitigation Technician is responsible for fast response to emergency water and/or fire damage claims in order to dry out the customer's property. The work requires concentration and focus with a complete degree of professionalism that the client and company require. A willingness to be flexible in job assignments and assist others when it is in the best interest of the company to do so is expected. Emphasis is placed on providing a high level of service in an environment where the customer may be under extreme stress. Service is the keyword. Activities should always be completed with a sense of urgency. This is a full time position with on-call availability required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be
assigned.
Water extraction and removal of water damaged materials, including demolition.
Content manipulation; may require some heavy lifting.
Set-up and monitor drying equipment.
Maintain a full understanding and knowledge of water damage restoration mitigation services.
Emergency board-up of fire damaged property.
Pack-out of personal property and contents.
Fire damage demolition, clean-up, and/or containment.
Follow proper process per IICRC standards.
All work will be completed in a safe and professional manner.
Be on site within 2 hours when handling on-call emergencies, unless other arrangements have been made by the
Project Manager.
Document all communication.
Take pictures of the job once the demo is complete and the equipment is set.
Communicate with Project Management through completion of the job.
Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe job site.
Daily completion of paperwork, moisture readings, photographs, and job notes.
COMPENSATION: Hourly pay rate based on applicants level of experience and knowledge. Includes paid holidays, sick
time.
REQUIRED:
Valid driver's license in good standing
Capable of passing a thorough background screening
High school or equivalent education
IICRC certification preferred.
