DescriptionApply your skills as an Accounts Receivable (A/R) professional in this exciting position to join a growing, dynamic company from Robert Half Finance. Taking on this role, you will enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain a cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. This rapidly growing team needs a self-starter to join the accounting team! With high attention to detail, you will be processing full-cycle AP and handling a significant number of invoices per week. The Accounts Receivable Clerk role is a full-time position in the Portsmouth, New Hampshire area.Your responsibilities in this role
Correspond with clients to resolve payment issues and set up payment plans
Validate documents and codes
Reconcile bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in various ledgers
Maintain, relate, and promote the mission, values and culture of the organization
Perform a variety of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks
Provide information as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stake holders
Process payments and assemble segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP
Requirements
Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)
Demonstrated knowledge of ICD-10-CM
Adeptness in health maintenance organization
Insurance claims experience highly preferred
General familiarity with ICD-10
Practical knowledge of medical claims
Health insurance experience preferred
Knowledge of 10 Key Accounting
Experience with Health Insurance Coverage
Deep understanding of Health Care
Strong analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
1+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable
Skilled with ERP systems
Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field
