Description We are looking for a Purchaser to join our team in Bergen County, New Jersey. In this role, you will be a critical component of our supply chain operations in the equipment manufacturing industry. You will manage the ordering of parts, engage with vendors, and maintain efficient communication with internal teams. Responsibilities: Manage the procurement of parts to support daily production and sales activities Establish and maintain effective communication with vendors for placing and following up on orders Oversee the creation and processing of purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely submissions Efficiently manage blanket orders and monitor their status to ensure consistent supply Coordinate with the sales team to purchase parts as needed for sales orders Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Service, Engineering, Production, and Senior Management on part requests and order statuses Support the production team with parts orders based on demand planning provided by the Purchasing Manager Exhibit strong follow-up skills to manage changing priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment Utilize the company’s extensive network of suppliers, working closely with key vendors daily Handle commodity-driven purchasing with minimal negotiation involvedRequirements Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Purchaser role or similar capacity Proficient in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools Familiarity with Epicor ERP solutions is preferred Comprehensive understanding of buying processes Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Proven track record in negotiating and managing suppliers Ability to analyze market trends and apply insights to procurement strategies Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality Demonstrated problem-solving skills Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field is preferred.
