Multi-modality Technologist

Atlantic Imaging Services at Clark is recruiting for a multi-modality technologist.Responsible for the effective delivery of care to patients in a multi-modality setting by operating CT, MR and X-Ray equipment to capture appropriate images. Principal Accountabilities:

Demonstrates operating knowledge performing imaging exams in CT, MR and X-Ray and positioning of patients.

Starts IV lines and prepares and administers contrast material using the power injector.

Evaluates CT scans for technical quality.

Ability to follow procedure protocols and guidelines.

Operates CT scanner equipment in accordance with prescribed radiation standards (ALARA).

Ensures timely schedule is maintained. Assembles and reviews patient data, history, proper two patient identifiers. Verifies physician orders and pertinent lab work when required.

Utilizes EPIC, Radiant, and PACS to schedule and transmit images to the Radiologist for interpretation. And ensures information for radiologists' interpretation is available (outside images, reports etc.).

Contributes to the team and works cooperatively with peers and treats fellow employees in a respectful professional manner.

Displays the ability to work under stressful and difficult situations.

Maintains communication between departments as well as physicians to ensure patient safety.

Ability to complete and maintain proper daily QA records.

Adheres to standards of care per policy and procedure manual to maintain a safe environment.

Able to access, interpret, communicate, and deliver age and culturally appropriate care.

And other duties as assigned by site leadership.

Required:

Graduate from an ARRT accredited school of Radiological Technology, which demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities is also required.

Current State of NJ Licensure as a Radiology Technologist - Certified

Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS Certification

Minimum Education:

High School diploma.

Associate's degree.

Graduate of approved ARRT program in MRI and CT or must attain both or second advanced certification within a year.

Preferred:

3+ years minimum experience in CT/MR or either.

American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) - Technologist must maintain advanced certification in at least two imaging modalities (see details in minimum education section).
