Job Description
Modern Installations, a leading installation company specializing in modern, flexible office solutions, is seeking an experienced Bilingual Project Manager (PM) to oversee and coordinate projects across the Tri-State Area.
The ideal candidate will be the key point of contact among the company, the client, and the installation teams, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Job Site Management: Travel almost daily to job sites in New York City (primary focus), New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania to monitor installation progress and quality control.
Scheduling and Logistics: Develop and manage detailed project schedules, coordinate installation teams, and ensure the timely delivery of materials.
Client Communication: Serve as the primary liaison with clients and general contractors, conducting on-site meetings, and proactively resolving issues.
Team Leadership: Interface directly with installation crews, communicating goals, managing work hours, and ensuring a safe, efficient work environment.
Documentation Control: Utilize computer software and tools to track project progress, manage scope changes, and maintain accurate project documentation.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with occasional availability for overtime hours on Saturdays as required by project needs.
Requirements and Qualifications
Mandatory Requirements:
Proven Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in Project Management, preferably within the construction, installation services, or commercial interior sector.
Studies: A bachelor’s degree in business management, project management, or a related field is required
Bilingual Proficiency: Complete fluency (written and spoken) in English and Spanish. This is a critical function for effective communication with clients, contractors, and installation personnel.
Travel Capability: Willingness and ability to travel to job sites across NYC and the Tri-State area almost daily.
Technical Proficiency: Strong command of project management software, spreadsheets, and digital communication tools.
Preferred Skills:
Prior Project Management experience in the commercial construction industry, office renovations, or commercial interiors.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively mediate disputes between trades, manage client expectations, and negotiate solutions on site.
Knowledge of or experience with the installation of modular wall partition systems such as DIRTT, Teknion, Alur, or similar proprietary systems.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and design specifications.
Some experience with Plangrid, Monday, Trello (and/or similar apps)

Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications.
Vacation: Two (2) weeks of paid vacation annually.
