We are currently seeking an experienced Surgical Technician to join our team in a per diem contract remote instructional position based in New Jersey. While prior teaching experience is a plus, it is not mandatory. The ideal candidate should possess professional etiquette, strong soft skills, experience using a computer, and familiarity with Microsoft Teams or any Learning Management System (LMS) platform.
We have two available positions, both offering day hours from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm on two days in Spring 2024, as well as evening hours from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm on two evenings per week (immediate opening). This remote position requires live instruction, where the instructor collaborates with staff, faculty, and students to create a warm, friendly, and engaging virtual environment.
Responsibilities:
Conduct online virtual classroom and lab activities in accordance with program requirements, ensuring that students acquire the personal, interaction, and professional/vocational skills necessary for success in their chosen vocation.
Serve as a mentor, fostering positive and professional relationships with students to monitor and resolve any concerns they may have. Actively engage in institution and community involvement.
Participate in activities and meetings to stay informed about current industry events, contributing to professional growth.
Track and monitor student attendance, progress, and other relevant information to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory agency requirements.
