I’m working on a full home renovation alongside a full-time hybrid job as a construction management consultant in NYC, and I’m looking for someone reliable and organized to help keep things running smoothly on the renovation and assist with some personal errands. This is a great opportunity if you’re interested in real estate, construction, architecture, or DIY.
Tasks may include:
Researching and sourcing materials
Picking up and delivering materials locally
Coordinating with contractors
Creative collaboration to help solve problems and make design choices
Preparing design samples/mockups
General admin and personal errands
Assisting in organizing spaces within the house as work progresses
Helping maintain a safe worksite
Assisting with DIY projects (if interested)
Who I’m looking for:
Architecture, construction management, real estate, civil engineering, or design students/enthusiasts looking for hands-on experience transforming a century-old, run-down single-family house into a home.
MUST HAVE A CAR for driving to the house, picking up materials, and making deliveries. Comfort with driving a minivan is a plus.
Great communication skills
Organized, reliable, and resourceful
Able to lift 40lbs
Values safety and is comfortable in a construction environment
Bonus if you’re interested in interior design, secondhand materials, and not afraid to get dirty/dusty.
