We are looking for a friendly, reliable Deli Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, operate the cash register, handle food items safely, and assist with maintaining a clean and organized deli area.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers and assist with deli orders in a friendly and professional manner
Operate the cash register to process transactions accurately and efficiently
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli counter and work area
Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues or direct to a manager as needed
Assist with closing/opening duties, including cleaning equipment and surfaces
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous cashier or deli experience a plus
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Basic math skills and attention to detail
Must be able to stand for extended periods
