Position Summary:
The ideal candidate will be a motivated, compassionate, and skilled dental hygienist who excels at patient care and is dedicated to creating a positive experience for every patient. This part-time role is open to transitioning to full-time in the future.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine cleanings and preventative treatments
Take and interpret digital X-rays
Chart and assess patients’ oral health and update medical records
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
Collaborate with the dentist to develop individualized treatment plans
Assist with patient comfort and ensure a pleasant experience during appointments
Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness in the treatment area
Stay up-to-date on the latest dental hygiene trends and best practices
Qualifications:
Active and valid dental hygienist license in New Jersey
Previous experience in dental hygiene preferred
Exceptional patient care skills with a focus on comfort and education
Strong team player with excellent communication skills
CPR certification
Ability to manage time effectively and work in a fast-paced environment
