We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join a client of ours on a special project. The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of payroll experience, with a strong background in ADP systems and Workday, and will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing. Additionally, this role will involve assisting with the implementation of a new payroll system, providing expertise, and ensuring a smooth transition.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in the implementation of a new payroll system, (ADP WFN to Workday), working closely with the HR and IT teams to ensure seamless integration.

Assist in processing the first “go live” payroll in the new system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and federal/state regulations.

Manage employee data within the payroll system, including new hires, terminations, and salary changes.

Handle payroll-related inquiries from employees, resolving issues promptly and professionally.

Prepare and reconcile payroll reports, ensuring accuracy

Collaborate with the finance team to ensure proper payroll accounting and reporting.

Conduct regular audits of payroll processes and systems to identify and resolve discrepancies.

Provide training and support to other team members on payroll processes and the new payroll system, sharing best practices based on previous system knowledge and usage

Participate in payroll projects as needed, including system upgrades and process improvements.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of 3 years of payroll experience, with a strong emphasis on ADP WFN and Workday.

Proven experience in payroll system implementation or upgrade projects a plus

Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to handle sensitive information with a high degree of confidentiality.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
