Full-Time Blending Machine Operator
Mincing Spice Company imports spices, seeds, and herbs and cleans and grinds them in our warehouse facility in Dayton, NJ.
We are looking for a full-time Blending Machine Operator to join our organization, who will be responsible for operating blending machinery to blend spices and herbs and keeping accurate batch record documents, following cGMP and food safety standards.

Shift: Monday Friday 7:15 AM - 3:30 PM (Overtime optional Monday – Thursday until 5:30)
Saturdays optional 6:00AM – 2:00PM
Essential Duties: The Blending Machine Operator will:
Pull product from the warehouse using handheld forklift/pallet jack
Verify labels with batch manufacturing records
Measure and weigh batches with multiples of weights
Setup and operate specialized equipment to load and blend spices according to customer requirements
Repackage the product
Maintain logs
Clean equipment
Requirements of the Blending Machine Operator:
1 year experience in blending preferred
Understands and is knowledgeable of cGMP, OSHA and food safety standards etc
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds repetitively
Must have ability to read, write, understand, and precisely follow clear instructions in English
Demonstrates ability to work in a team and assist others
Must be able to do basic math (add, subtract, multiply)
Pre-employment drug test to join the union (drug free environment)
Must be able to stand for shift duration, reach, grasp, bend, turn, squat, lean over and sit
Will wear protective coverings including a lab coat, face mask, booties, gloves, safety glasses/goggles
Rate: $20 per hour
