Job Summary:

Preweighers are responsible for weighing raw materials needed for batching. Preweighers will need to physically handle raw material containers and weigh out specified quantities into separate containers that will then be reserved for individual batches.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
List the main tasks.
· Utilize pallet jacks, carts, or drum lifts to physically move raw material containers from a staging location into the preweigh room, and then transfer/pour contents into separate containers which will be used for individual batches.
· Use Manufacturing preweigh software to perform the weighing task.
· Use Manufacturing preweigh software to calibrate scales.
· Assemble pallets for preweighed batches, which requires moving all preweighed containers for a specific batch onto a separate pallet, and then wrapping the pallet before its moved to a storage location.
· Clean & sanitize the work area before and after weighing.
· Follow guidelines for gowning and PPE, which can involve the use of a respirator for certain raw materials
· Follow all safety and compliance requirements.

Qualifications & Competencies:
List required or desired education; competencies; experiences; soft and hard skills.
· High School diploma or equivalent
· Worked in a Manufacturing environment for at least 5 years.
· Basic computer skills
· Understands Safety, Environmental, and GMP regulations.
