Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Rough Carpenter / New House Framer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in framing new houses, understanding blueprints, and working with various power and hand tools. The position requires a strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

Frame New Houses: Construct the framework of new residential homes including walls, floors, and roofs following building plans and blueprints.

Install Structures: Measure, cut, and assemble wood or metal framework, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with building codes.

Operate Tools: Use various power and hand tools such as saws, hammers, drills, and levels safely and effectively.

Read Blueprints: Interpret and follow blueprints and building plans to meet the client's specifications.

Ensure Safety: Maintain a safe work environment by following safety regulations and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

- Collaborate: Work closely with other construction professionals, including electricians, plumbers, and general contractors, to ensure the project is completed on time and within budget.

- Problem-Solve: Identify and address any issues that may arise during the construction process.

- Maintain Equipment: Ensure all tools and equipment are in good working condition and report any necessary repairs.

Qualifications:

- Experience: Proven experience as a rough carpenter or framer in residential construction.

- Skills: Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and tools. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and building plans.

- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy materials, standing for long periods, and working in various weather conditions.

- Attention to Detail: Precision in measuring, cutting, and assembling framework to ensure structural accuracy.

- Safety-Oriented: Commitment to following safety guidelines and maintaining a safe work environment.

- Communication: Good verbal communication skills to work effectively with team members and supervisors.

- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour
