Shop Drawing Draftsperson Job Description
Forge Signworks – located in Farmingdale, New Jersey, is a full service custom sign company for over 85 years. Forge provides custom signage/graphics to casino and retail facilities throughout the United States.
We are looking for a personable, motivated individual with Corell Draw experience willing to learn the sign business. Must be results-driven to actively seek out and engage customer prospects.
Position Overview:
Work with Corell Draw software, creating, modifying and maintaining sign submittal drawings
Interface with project management team to identify manufacturing requirements meeting architectural specifications
Work with Drafting and Design Coordinator to develop efficient process workflows
Job Responsibilities:
Create, modify and maintain sign submittal drawings.
Interface with project management team to identify manufacturing requirements meeting architectural specifications
Revise architectural drawings as marked and thoroughly coordinate all sheets that are affected by changes
Ensure established deadlines are met
Facilitate problem solving with project managers
Develop new drafting designs concepts
The Person, Education and Experience:
Knowledge of architectural shop drawings preferred
Proficiency in Corell Draw software required.
Work well under time constraints with 100% deadline completion
Ability to understand and apply concepts of the product and mounting systems
Requirements to perform this job:
Must possess a valid driver’s license in the state of NJ / Must have your own transportation.
Must have excellent organizational and communication skills and be reliable.
Self-motivated/ Team Driven with the ability to manage time to get the work done.
