ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN – to do mechanical assembly of small packaging machinery and related components at our small factory located in Wall , NJ. Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, full time, permanent, with benefits.
This is an entry-level position performing a wide variety of mechanical assembly operations, including pulling parts from inventory, building sub-assemblies, building and testing final assemblies, building pallets and crate to ship the final product. Also, miscellaneous tasks including assisting other employees in various functions as needed. Must read, follow and adhere to detailed manufacturing instructions.
DUTIES:
Perform mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly as specified in detailed manufacturing instructions.
Work mostly with hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, saws, etc. and occasionally with power tools, such as drills, circular saws, etc.
REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
Quick and willing learner, takes instructions well.
On-time and self-motivated, high quality standards, work well with others.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
Familiarity and competence with typical mechanic’s tools.
Basic carpentry skills would a bonus, but are not required.
Drivers license required for occasional errands in company vehicle.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Job experience as mechanical assembler preferred.
Personal mechanical hobbies or other experience will be considered.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
