Quality Control Inspector Job Summary
$19 an hour
The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for conducting inspections, tests, and assessments to verify that products meet specified quality standards and performance criteria. This role is essential in maintaining and enhancing our product quality, customer satisfaction, and overall operational excellence.
Inspection and Testing: Conduct thorough visual inspections and various testing procedures on products to ensure they meet established quality standards. This includes both in-process and final product inspections.
Document Inspection Results: Record detailed findings and inspection results, maintaining accurate quality control records and documentation.
Root Cause Analysis: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify the root causes of quality issues and deviations, contributing to effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Defect Identification: Identify defects, non-conformities, and quality discrepancies, and report them to the Quality Control Manager/Supervisor and relevant departments for resolution.
Calibration and Maintenance: Ensure that testing and measuring equipment are properly calibrated, maintained, and used correctly.
Sample Collection: Collect samples for further testing and analysis, following prescribed sampling procedures.
Collaboration: Work closely with production teams, engineering, and quality assurance to address quality concerns and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Adherence to Standards: Ensure compliance with quality control standards and guidelines, staying updated on industry best practices and quality control methods.
Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols, guidelines, and safe work practices to maintain a safe and healthy work environment. Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly.
Quality Control Inspector Qualifications
Proficiency in management systems.
Strong organizational skills to maintain records
Attention to detail for accurate documentation.
Experience in supply chain management, logistics, or order processing.
Familiarity with manufacturing workflows.
