A Shift Manager, or Shift Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the effective working of their team over the course of a shift. They delegate tasks to their staff, set targets and goals to keep their team on track and review performance to ensure growth.
Shift Manager duties and responsibilities
Shift Managers need to be capable of performing a wide range of duties in order to provide support to all their staff. These include:
Manage 15 warehouse returns/shipping workers.
Experience running warehouse
Responsible with English/Spanish
Ability to work with Chinese customer
Ordering supplies and stock when required
Acting as the first point of contact for staff who need to call in sick, book leave or need help in the workplace
Collecting and checking timesheets and dealing with payroll administration
Receiving and checking deliveries
Recruiting, interviewing and training new team members
Managing their team’s performance
Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and industry guidelines
Maintaining a safe working environment for all staff members
