Join a Our Wedding and Event Florist and Design Team as a Business Development & Sales Representative!
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development & Sales Representative to join our dynamic team. This is a part-time position with the potential for growth to full-time. You will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth through proactive sales efforts and client and vendor relationship building.
Key Responsibilities:
Actively participate in and represent the company at bridal shows, industry trade shows, and other networking events.
Develop and cultivate strong relationships with wedding planners, venues, and other key industry professionals.
Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through lead generation, cold calling, following up on warm leads, and other outreach methods.
Conduct in-depth sales consultations with prospective clients, showcasing our unique event design services, including floral artistry, balloon installations, rentals, and overall event vision.
Prepare and present compelling proposals and pricing packages that effectively communicate value and close deals.
Consistently achieve and exceed sales targets
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients throughout the sales process and beyond.
Provide exceptional customer service as needed to ensure client satisfaction and loyalty.
Address client inquiries and concerns professionally and efficiently.
Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to identify new opportunities and refine sales strategies within the high-end event design market.
Participate in regular sales meetings with management to track sales performance, brainstorm strategies for closing new business, and discuss effective client communication.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in sales and business development, preferably within the events or luxury goods industry
Strong sales background with a proven track record of success.
Coachable and eager to learn new skills and develop within the role.
Experience within the wedding or event industry is a significant plus, but not required.
Strong understanding of sales principles, techniques, and best practices
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to build rapport quickly
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Highly motivated and results-oriented with a strong desire to exceed sales targets
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Passion for weddings and the event industry
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Self-driven and comfortable with travel within the Tri-State area (New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania)
Must be willing to work some evenings and weekends
Comfortable and enthusiastic about reaching out to potential clients and event planners to discuss their vision and showcase our expertise in full-service event design.
This role also involves some social media marketing responsibilities. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with being on camera for potential promotional photos and videos, creating engaging social media posts, and contributing to website content and other marketing materials. Experience with social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok is a plus.
