IT DIRECTOR - MUST HAVE AS400, RPG and Networking

Central New Jersey Retail Apparel Company is looking for a strong HANDS-ON senior level candidate to oversee and be responsible for all computer functions in the company. This includes AS400, ERP, EDI, Network Infrastructure, internet connections and computers. Candidate will deal with IT Service Companies that handle programming and infrastructure but MUST be hands on in the following areas so candidate can’t be “snowed”: Programming: Must Be able to review code in RPG III and RPG free. Must be able to write SQL queries. Will use SQL to extract and validate data. EDI: Must understand EDI specifications and mapping. Will work with VANs. Infrastructure: Must have strong experience PCs, network hardware and internet connections, firewall, cyber security. Needs a good working knowledge of business processes for importing and selling to retailers. Will meet with employees of the company on ALL levels to understand their information needs and arrange for software to fill those needs. Will directly deal with warehouses to help resolve problems.
Pluses: Import or Apparel Experience. Will see a candidate from any retail background. NO Remote / Must live in a reasonable driving distance.
