Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Salon Manager to join our team. As a Salon Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the salon, managing staff, and ensuring exceptional customer service. If you have a passion for the beauty industry and strong leadership skills, we want to hear from you.
Working weekdays: Tuesday to Friday
Weekends mandatory (Saturday and Sunday / rotating weekends)
Customer Engagement: Keep kids and parents smiling with your friendly and positive attitude.
Haircutting Skills: Demonstrate strong haircutting skills and mentor other stylists.
Team Leadership: Lead the team by example, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Promotion: Actively promote Little Legends to attract new customers and potential team members.
Daily Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the salon to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Professional Appearance: Maintain a professional and polished appearance.
Inventory Management: Keep track of salon inventory and ensure it is well-stocked.
Errands:
Scheduling: Create and manage schedules for stylists to ensure adequate coverage.
Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked store.
Customer Relations: Prevent and handle customer complaints with grace and professionalism.
Training: Train and retain stylists, ensuring they adhere to salon standards.
Hiring: Participate in hiring decisions when needed.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a managerial role within a salon or similar environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Bilingual proficiency is a plus not must
- Knowledge of recruiting practices to build a skilled team
- Proficiency in basic math for inventory management and financial transactions
- Experience in stock management and supply ordering
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and securely
- Understanding of marketing principles to drive business growth
- Prior experience in employee orientation and training
- License: Must have a valid Cosmetology and Hairstyling license New Jersey State Board of Cosmetology and Hairstyling
- Experience: 3-5 years salon management experience
- Availability: Ability to work weekends. (rotating )
- Work Authorization: Authorization to work in the United States
- Friendly personality with a great attitude
- Excellent with kids and able to create a fun atmosphere
