Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled AUTO MASTER TECH / SHOP MANAGER to lead our automotive service team. This role combines advanced technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring the highest quality vehicle repairs and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have extensive dealership experience, strong mechanical knowledge, and proficiency in automotive diagnostics and electrical systems. As a key member of our team, you will oversee daily operations, mentor technicians, and maintain the shop’s efficiency and standards.

Responsibilities

Perform complex diagnostics and repairs on a wide range of vehicles, including GM models and diesel engines.

Lead and manage the automotive service team, assigning tasks and ensuring timely completion of repairs.

Conduct vehicle maintenance, powertrain repairs, alignments, and auto body work as needed.

Utilize schematics, automotive electrical systems knowledge, ADAS technology, and hand tools to troubleshoot issues accurately.

Oversee shop operations to ensure safety protocols are followed and quality standards are met.

Manage inventory of parts and tools, including power tools and welding equipment.

Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repair procedures and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Stay current with industry advancements such as ADAS systems, vehicle electrical systems, and maintenance techniques.

Maintain a clean, organized work environment conducive to efficient workflow.

Qualifications

Proven dealership experience with a strong background in automotive repair and diagnostics.

Extensive mechanic experience with expertise in powertrain, electrical systems, diesel engines, and auto body repair.

Proficiency in using schematics, automotive electrical systems diagnostics, and various hand tools and power tools.

Knowledge of ADAS technology, alignment procedures, GM vehicles, welding techniques, and vehicle maintenance practices.

Leadership skills with prior experience managing a team of technicians or auto shop staff.

Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.

Strong mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to interpret schematics and technical manuals.
