Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry techniques and be capable of leading projects from start to finish. This role involves working on diverse projects, including remodeling, water damage restoration, and custom fabrications. The Carpenter may eventually oversee a team of carpenters/helpers, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. They will also oversee entire renovation projects.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage carpentry projects, ensuring timely completion and quality standards are met
Perform frame carpentry, including the construction of walls, roofs, finish work and other structural components
Execute remodeling tasks, transforming spaces according to client specifications
Fabricate custom woodwork and fixtures as needed for various projects
Restore damaged structures through effective water damage restoration techniques
Assemble and install cabinetry, trim work, and other finishing elements
Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete tasks
Train and mentor helpers or junior carpenters in best practices and safety protocols
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Effective communication with leadership
Skills
Proficiency in water damage restoration techniques
Expertise in frame carpentry practices
Experience in remodeling residential or commercial spaces
Ability to fabricate custom solutions tailored to client needs
Skilled in restoring existing structures to their original condition or better
General maintenance person skills with a focus on quality craftsmanship
Competence in assembling various structures and fixtures accurately
Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in carpentry work
Effective communication interpersonal and organizational skills
Candidate must be willing to drive to sites including but not limited to; Monmouth, Ocean, Middlesex and Somerset counties in New Jersey
