Job Description: We are seeking a mechanic to assist our lead mechanic. Proven skills in maintaining both tree-axel dump trucks, and caterpillar equipment.
Responsibilities:
Inspect, troubleshoot diagnose, and perform general repairs and maintenance on trucks and commercial equipment. Engine diagnosis a plus
Weld equipment (Preferred but will train)
Interpret work orders and technical manuals
Test repaired equipment for proper performance a to ensure that the work meets manufacturers’ specifications and legislated regulations
Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems
Qualifications:
GED, High School diploma or equivalent
A minimum of 1-year in diesel Repair: Certification of schooling. Willing to train if needed.
A minimum of 1-year in welding and mechanic work. Certification of schooling. Willing to train if needed.
Ability to keep up with changing technology and updates.
Must supply own tools
Ability to work independently or in a team
Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
Must pass background check and pre-employment drug screening
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 50 lbs. following appropriate safety procedures
Work in different positions for long periods of time
Crawl in small and tight spaces
Work in different environmental working conditions (e.g. heat, cold, wind, rain)
Walk and climb, handle, finger, grasp and feel objects and equipment; Reach with hands and arms communicate, receive and exchange information by means of the spoken and written word
Ability to navigate the property/building quickly and easily as required to meet the job functions
Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:30 AM -4:30 PM, Saturdays 7:30 – 3:00 PM (April – November)
