Description We are offering a fantastic opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Monmouth County, New Jersey. This role is within the manufacturing industry, where you will be responsible for a variety of accounting processes and functions, including accounts receivable and payable, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and assisting with month-end closing functions. Responsibilities: Assisting in the preparation of cash receipts, sales invoicing, and chargebacks, ensuring accuracy and timely follow-up Creating reports for VAT & Sales & Use tax return filing, adhering to regulatory standards Conducting account analysis and reconciliations for both inventory and bank accounts Assisting in the preparation of 401k, payroll, and journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies Assisting with month-end closing functions, ensuring all accounting tasks are completed within deadlines Assisting with bank audits and year-end audits, providing necessary documentation and information Assisting in the budgeting process, providing accurate financial information for decision making Serving as a backup for the Cash Manager, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable functions during times of absence Undertaking ad-hoc projects as required, demonstrating flexibility and problem-solving skills. Requirements Proficiency in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Expertise in conducting Bank Reconciliations Extensive knowledge of General Ledger management Experience in making Journal Entries Familiarity with Month End Close procedures A relevant degree in Accounting or Finance Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite Ability to work independently and as part of a team Capable of multitasking and meeting tight deadlines Strong ethical standards and integrity in detail oriented conduct.
