Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Entry Level Accountant based in Florham Park, New Jersey, United States. This role is within the pharmaceutical industry and requires a presence in the office. The position involves a variety of accounting duties, such as processing invoices, data entry, and assisting with ad hoc projects.Responsibilities: Efficiently manage accounts payable tasks, maintaining a smooth flow of financial operations. Regularly process invoices, ensuring accuracy and prompt payment. Handle accounts receivable duties, monitoring customer accounts and taking necessary actions. Perform data entry tasks, updating and maintaining accurate customer credit records. Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure financial records are accurate and up-to-date. Utilize Microsoft Excel for v-lookups and pivot tables to analyze financial data. Participate in ad hoc projects as directed, providing analytical support and insight. Maintain a high level of professionalism, contributing positively to the team dynamic. Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting procedures related to the pharmaceutical industry. Requirements Possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field Proficient with Microsoft Excel Knowledgeable in Accounts Payable (AP) Experienced in Bank Reconciliations Ability to perform Ad Hoc Analysis Skilled in Data Entry Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Familiarity with accounting software and systems Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational and time management skills.
