A New Jersey-based financial services firm is currently seeking a new Software Engineer for a promising opportunity with their growing Investment Platforms Technology team. In this role, the Software Engineer will be responsible for developing applications that manages Positions and Cash of different asset classes across all accounts for the company.

• Design and develop software modules to meet the business requirements
• Analyze existing software code, update code to meet the enhancement needs
• Work closely with business and digital stakeholders to understand the business requirements
• Innovate by applying advanced analytical thinking and knowledge of related fields
• Actively think about system stability and enhancing applications
• Perform other duties, as needed

• 5+ years of experience in Application Design, Coding, and Testing, Maintenance, and/
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Maintenance and debugging skills
• Strong experience with Java 8/J2EE distributed application development, REST, domain model microservices, Spring Boot, and API gateway
• Experience in maintaining and developing applications using Front End technologies, like ReactJS, CSS and HTML.
• Good understanding with DevOps tools, like DevOps (Jira, Confluence and CI/CD pipelines)
• Experience in development with SQL, Postgres, NoSQL DB, etc.
• Experience with messaging technologies like Kafka
• Great interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized

• 1+ year of experience in Python
• Experience with cloud data platforms like Snowflake, Databricks etc.
