The job is a seasonal tax preparation position open to either an experienced CPA, EA, RTPP ONLY. The candidate should ideally live in Toms River. The job has two components. The first is to review the tax returns prepared by others and to also prepare tax returns about a 75% / 25% mix. This staff person must be professional, completes work at a good pace and be accurate. The work can be completed in your home or office. You will be responsible for picking up and dropping off your work files and you mileage will be reimbursed at the IRS rate.
The work period is February 21 to April 15 (8 WEEKS). My estimate of total work hours is about 136 hrs. All machines, software and supplies will be provided. There will be no operational or any other costs to you. The tax software is DRAKE. You must be proficient with the software. There are no exceptions and you will be tested.
In recent years the range in salary earned has been $5,100 to $6,800 for a person working an average of about 17 hours @ WEEK for 8 weeks based on experience and performance. In addition, a bonus up of to 10% based on your salary can be earned based on your performance. The right hire could lead to a partnership and or a sale of my practice after 4/15/24.
