Position Overview:
As a Front Desk Associate at PURE PRESS DRY CLEANERS, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk. Your primary responsibility will be to greet customers, receive and process their orders, and address inquiries. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a customer-centric approach.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Warmly greet customers as they enter the establishment.
Provide information about services offered, pricing, and any promotions.
Assist customers in dropping off and picking up their dry cleaning orders.
Address customer inquiries, concerns, and resolve issues promptly.
Order Processing:
Receive and accurately record customer orders into the computerized system.
Ensure proper tagging and identification of garments to prevent errors.
Provide customers with a detailed receipt and estimated pickup time.
Help with prioritizing customer garments on the backend.
Cash Handling:
Process payments for services rendered using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
Handle cash, credit, and other forms of payment securely and accurately.
Issue receipts and maintain an organized cash drawer.
Customer Communication:
Notify customers when their orders are ready for pickup.
Communicate any delays or issues with orders and provide alternative solutions.
Answer phone calls promptly and assist callers with inquiries.
Maintaining Cleanliness:
Keep the front desk area and waiting area clean and organized.
Ensure brochures, promotional materials, and business cards are well-stocked.
Assist in maintaining overall cleanliness and orderliness of the store.
Record-Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of customer transactions and orders.
Update customer information in the system as needed.
Collaborate with the back-end team to resolve any discrepancies in orders.
Upselling and Promotions:
Promote additional services, such as express cleaning, alterations, or seasonal promotions.
Encourage customers to enroll in loyalty programs for discounts and special offers.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in customer service, retail, or a similar front desk role is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS systems.
Ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Problem-solving skills to address customer concerns effectively.
