The newest cafe in downtown Toms River is seeking an enthusiastic barista to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be ready to hit the ground running as a barista/cashier with a positive attitude, excellent judgement, and great energy needed to create an incredible experience for every person that walks into our cafe.
Note: There is part-time and full-time available.
Responsibilities:
Warmly welcomes all guests to provide a pleasant experience
Promotes coffee consumption by educating customers on various coffee roasts and specialty drinks offered on our menu
Prepares and sells artisan and specialty drinks by following specific recipes and techniques such as espresso, coffees, lattes, cappuccinos, and more
Assist cook in all food preparation and food orders
Accurately handles cash and credit card transactions, following appropriate cash handling procedures
Cleaning service and seating areas to create a clean and captivating environment
Supporting chef/GM with prepping of food & pastries
Requirements:
A high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Strong ability to multi-task and problem solve
Great attention to detail and enthusiasm to develop skills and knowledge
Robust customer service and communication skills
1+ years barista experience (preferred)
Ability to read and speak English proficiently
This job requires long periods of standing
