For over 47 years, Merri-Makers has been the leading wedding caterer in New Jersey. We are currently seeking a Steward and Sanitation Supervisor to join our family. This role is responsible for overseeing the cleanliness and sanitation operations throughout our facility, as well as managing the upkeep of all food products, both current and incoming. Additionally, the supervisor will be in charge of inventory management and supplies related to food and sanitation.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the rotation of stock (food and non-food items)
Collaborate closely with the Director of Purchasing
Check in incoming products, weigh them, and store them in their designated areas
Manage the sanitation team to maintain high cleanliness and organization standards
Address any sanitation-related concerns from customers or employees
Ensure proper waste disposal and recycling practices are followed
Coordinate drop-off and pick-up requests
Requirements:
Valid NJ driver’s license required for travel
Ability to lift items up to 40 lbs
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Schedule:
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday
Off on Mondays and Fridays
