Small residential dementia homes seeking Staffing/HR Coordinator who will work with admin and be responsible for ensuring adequate and appropriate staffing to meet the needs of the residents based on budget and census. This position will also have accountability for payroll processing and recruitment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides leadership, oversight, and human resource guidance to ensure the success of the company.

Implements and administers the Companys operating policies and procedures.

Organizes and directs the human resource administrative functions of the office, including budgeting caregiver time worked, caregiver profit and loss management, data collection, record maintenance and employment practices.

Employs an adequate number of qualified personnel and ensures an adequate ongoing plan for hiring, orientation, evaluation, and discipline.

Maintains compliance with applicable laws and regulations

Ensures the accuracy of time records for payroll purposes.

Manages, implements and processes all payroll processing duties on a timely basis to ensure processing of payroll is done timely. This includes all that is needed to verify weekly time cards match scheduled work time.

Interviews all employees in accordance with Company guidelines and within budgetary parameters.

Ensures the proper processing and orientation of all new employees.

Manages employee retirement account yearly reporting and questions, if applicable.

Qualifications

Prior experience staffing within a healthcare setting.

Experience in recruiting and onboarding process.

Ability to build strong relationships and gain support from staff.

Superior organization skills and attention to detail.

Proven ability to multi-task.

Excellent verbal and communication skills.

Critical thinking skills including the ability to problem solve accordingly.

Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.

Proficient with ADP Services/or equivalent

Responsibilities

Scheduling

Ensure there are appropriate levels of staffing and nursing care at all times.

Complete monthly schedule for all staff

Available to take off hour calls and assist with emergency staffing issues

Staffing

Find potential candidates with admin support and recommend them for placement

Recruiting may involve both internal and external sourcing methods

Understanding of where and how to locate candidates for open positions

Using traditional and non-traditional resources to identify and attract talent

Community networking, online sources, career fairs and advertising/marketing programs

Partner with hiring managers to determine staffing needs

Screening

Performing in-person and phone interviews

Administer appropriate company assessments

Make recommendations to hiring managers

Coordinate interviews with hiring managers

Follow up on the interview process status

Onboarding of new hires

Keeps personnel records and health records accurate and maintained according to regulations and company policies.

Maintain relationships with both internal and external sources to ensure staffing goals are achieved

Staying current on the companys organization structure, personnel policy and federal and state laws regarding employment practices

Completing timely reports on employment activity

Demonstrates knowledge and execute HR policies and procedures accurately.

Organizes education program and training sessions.

Assists in internal investigations and disciplinary meetings.

Informs supervisor of any issues or concerns.

Processes and tracks worker compensation claims and leave of absence requests.

Communicates new HR policies and programs to Department Heads and staff.

Payroll

Prepares and processes payroll on a bi-weekly basis

Process and verify time cards on a timely basis. Verify work schedules against time cards

Submit changes in deductions, employee statuses, vacation requests, sick time, missed punch forms and all other payroll related forms in accordance with payroll calendar and deadlines.

Assist employees in obtaining and field inquiries regarding information concerning their payroll check, deductions, vacation, overtime, etc.,as necessary.
