Job Description: Warehouse and Kitchen Worker
Overview: As a Warehouse and Kitchen Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our catering services. You will be responsible for managing inventory, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting kitchen operations to facilitate smooth service delivery.
Responsibilities:
Warehouse Duties:
Receive, unload, and organize deliveries of food and supplies.
Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock checks.
Ensure all items are stored safely and in accordance with food safety guidelines.
Prepare orders for kitchen staff based on menu requirements.
Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
Kitchen Support:
Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
Assist chefs and cooks in food preparation tasks (e.g., chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients).
Pack and label food items for storage or transport.
Follow hygiene and safety standards at all times.
Dispose of waste and recycling materials responsibly.
General Maintenance:
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse and kitchen areas.
Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and washing dishes.
Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions promptly.
Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience in a warehouse or kitchen environment is preferred.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Team player with excellent communication skills.
Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry heavy boxes or equipment (up to 50 pounds).
Stamina to stand, bend, and move around for extended periods.
