ASW's client in West Long Branch, NJ is looking to hire experienced Drayage Operations Manager as soon as possible. Our client is a one-stop-shop for container drayage, transloading & specialized cargo.

Job Qualifications:
-Must have years of experience in the same position (not necessarily looking for a Warehouse Guy).
-Must be knowledgeable in Tracking and Tracing shipments and containers
-Must have experience in Rate Quoting
- Monitor daily terminal operations.
- Ability to anticipate and facilitate problem-resolution on all load issues to meet or exceed required service expectations.
-Ability to work independently while supporting an overall team mentality.
-Possess an analytical approach to logistics planning and creatively solve challenges.
- Ability to effectively negotiate market freight rates with customers.
-Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of internal and external business partners.
-Ability to effectively communicate and present professional proposals.
- Highly analytical with above average computer and networking skills.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage day-to-day operations and work flow of the intermodal team.
-Maintain a working knowledge of the company’s specialty services, internal resources, competitive strategies and customer requirements.
-Work with the business development team and other terminals to improve efficiencies profitability and customer service.
-Communicate and coordinate with dispatch and traffic staff to ensure accurate and timely information regarding all shipments.
- Deliver clear expectations to promote a positive work environment that is challenging and engaging.
- Manage after hours communication, problem solving, tracking and providing support to road fleet drivers.
- Proactively address concerns, conflicts, and interactions with team members.
