Cut a piece of wood 87” long into three equal pieces?
Use a drill to drive screws?
Cut a piece of plywood into different size squares and rectangles using a hand held circular saw? Will those pieces be accurate + or – 1/16”?
Operate a drill press? Can you take one of the squares you just cut and layout a pattern of holes and drill them on a drill press to + or – 1/32”?
Drill a hole in the center of a round piece of material?
Use a string and a pencil to draw a circle?
Use a belt sander?
Change the blade on a band saw?
Polish a piece of metal using a buffing wheel?
Can you apply paint with a brush and roller and achieve professional looking results?
Know how to prep, prime and paint a piece of metal with spray cans and achieve professional looking results
Use a caulking gun?
Build a box out of wood to an exact size?
Keep a notebook, so that you can build that same box, in exactly the same way 2 weeks later?
Know what “wet sanding” is?
Make a small 2” gel coat repair on a piece of fiberglass?
Use a shrink wrap gun?
Shrink wrap a pallet?
Band a pallet?
Use a ratchet strap to secure a load?
Drive a Box Truck (under 26,000 lbs, no CDL required)
Back up a trailer?
Use a pressure washer?
Wire a household electrical outlet or switch?
Replace the plug on an extension cord?
Replace the cord on an electric power tool?
Replace the ballast in a florescent light?
Wire a trailer with lights? With electric brakes?
Can you use a computer for email?
Are you physically fit (lift 70 lbs)?
Do you clean up and put your tools away at the end of the day?
Can you remember to keep the dumpster lid closed?
Do you have a sense of accomplishment when completing a good job?
Are you proud of the work you do?
Can you co-operate with and get along with others in the workplace?
Can you get to work everyday on time?
Will you occasionally work overtime weekdays or on weekends?
Do you have a valid driver’s license?
Do you have a reliable vehicle?
Are you willing to use that vehicle for Company errands (assuming you are adequately reimbursed )?
