We are seeking a dedicated Cook's Assistant/Cook Candy Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing a variety of our proprietary recipes and assisting with day-to-day operations in our kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
Cook proprietary recipes of fudge, caramel, Rocky Pop, and brittles.
Safely operate cooking equipment including gas or electric stoves.
Follow recipes accurately, measure ingredients precisely, and read thermometers.
Clean the cooking area thoroughly, including washing dishes.
Maintain knowledge of all product offerings and discuss them accurately with customers.
Lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
Maintain ingredient inventory, create grocery lists, and assist with ordering supplies.
Assist customers enthusiastically and professionally, both in person and over the phone.
Assist clerks with tasks such as sampling and helping guests.
Accurately count and handle cash during customer transactions.
Arrive for each shift in the appropriate uniform and practice good hygiene according to health department standards.
Avoid wearing scented lotions, perfumes, or colognes while on shift.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills.
Work hard and have fun while maintaining a professional demeanor.
Be honest and transparent with owners and co-workers.
Be punctual and reliable for all scheduled shifts.
Provide your own transportation to and from work.
Submit to random drug tests during employment.
Uphold confidentiality standards to protect business and customer information.
Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years old (for insurance reasons).
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Must follow all company policies and health department regulations.
Must have excellent communication skills.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
