Our company is hiring for an entry-level sales position. A salesperson deals with a section of our territory (a region in Monmouth and Ocean counties).
Applicants must have a good driving record. A company car is issued to visit stops on the sales route.
Salespeople service their customers by taking orders, writing credits for damaged/unwanted merchandise, submitting paperwork for cooler delivery, etc. Special attention must be given to chain supermarkets (Shoprite, Foodtown, Acme, Stop & Shop, etc.), and chain convenience stores (Wawa, Seven Eleven, etc.) Salespeople will also have to fill shelves, build displays, etc. in the chain stores in their territory.
As these positions are entry-level in the sales department, we are looking for energetic people that will grow with the route, so it makes money for them as well as the company.
In short, you will need:
A good driving record.
The ability to fill shelves and build displays with beverages (cases of 2 liters, 12 packs, etc. think of what you see in a supermarket) with relative ease.
Experience is not necessary; the drive to build your route by getting new customers and expanding product lines is.
