Work includes:
Retail Assistant Duties and Responsibilities,
Greeting customers and making them feel welcome,
Maintaining a clean, organized, and comfortable environment,
Being attentive to customers and providing answers to any questions they may have,
Making recommendations,
Assisting shoppers with merchandise (proper sizing, color choices, collecting items from back inventory if needed, etc.),
Ensuring a good fit for the customer and the product,
Restocking items that are running low and maintaining proper product displays,
Assisting with inventory management and placement of new products, including new in-store or window displays,
Handling customer complaints and concerns with a calm demeanor; finding a reasonable solution (calling on a supervisor only when necessary),
Keeping a watchful eye for theft or mishandling of merchandise; acting according to company policy,
Ensuring customers are well-informed on any current sales, rewards programs, and store return policy,
Process payments using the cash register, credit card machines, and/or POS (point of sale) computer system.
