A small but busy mobile auto care business is looking to fill in a main tech position.
We service vehicles at the customers' locations in the greater Lakewood area. Most of the work is done outdoors, so need someone who is rugged and experienced to work off the ground. Looking for a responsible person with a good attitude, creativity and work ethics to perform quality work without immediate supervision. No heavy suspension work, no engine or tranny swaps, just repairs that could be done safely and effectively without a lift.
Common jobs examples: alternators, starters, batteries, radiators, thermostats, brakes and calipers, water pumps, sliding door cables, some control arms, AC work, steering racks, gaskets, axles, etc.
Job Requirements:
Honesty and integrity. We aim to treat everyone right and only sell services that are actually needed. I rely on you to make service recommendations and occasionally own up to our inevitable mistakes.
Reliability. Most of the work is scheduled so cancellations create complications. Need someone stable with a predictable schedule.
Competence. B+ level diagnostics skills and several years of shop experience.
Communication. Ability to communicate effectively by phone and texting and use some mobile apps. Things come up all the time and need to be able to discuss in real time with office or customers.
Neatness and organization. Keeping work area, vehicles and the truck clean and neat. Organizing and maintaining the inventory on board.
Good driving history record.
Fleet maintenance, shop management, and diesel experience is a big plus.
You will be provided with an equipped truck.
Closed early on Fri and every Sat. Prefer occasional Sun availability.
