Flowers by Addalia is looking for a dedicated and reliable Delivery Driver to join our team. We have one spot open for Monday-Friday and one spot for a weekend driver working every weekend. This position is primarily responsible for assuring the efficient, safe, and courteous delivery of all item. Pay is $15.50 per hour. Must be willing to work out of our Toms River location. Clean driving record and 25 years or older is required by our insurance.
You will be expected to make local deliveries within Flowers by Addalia delivery area when needed. A company vehicle will be provided. Must work well with a team in a fast-paced environment and be willing to be flexible on duties. In addition, you will be expected to support various store needs. This may include things like processing flowers, assist in keeping cooler rotated and cleaned out, helping unload trucks of fresh product, supplies, and plants.
As a Flower Delivery Driver, your major areas of responsibility will include:
Packing all gifts to prepare them for delivery based on customer needs, company standards, and current weather conditions.
Ensuring timely and accurate delivery of all gifts.
Loading and unloading gifts to prepare and complete delivery routes.
Using routing systems to assign delivery status for each delivery on-site and/or with a phone app.
Picking up products or merchandise as warranted by business needs.
Providing support to other departments during downtime.
Maintaining a clean and organized work department and company vehicle.
Software Skills: Some knowledge of computer usage, including web surfing and GPS knowledge, is preferred. Training will be provided on delivery routing software.
Previous delivery experience and familiarity with the city are preferred but not required. Must be able to lift 30lbs. Success in this position will depend upon your ability to treat each customer or recipient as they are our most important asset.
