Description We are offering a position for a Staff Accountant in the retail industry. The role will be based in Liberty Corner, New Jersey area and will involve a range of Accounting responsibilities. with a focus on AR. This is a temporary employment opportunity that will require the successful candidate to process credit applications, maintain records, and resolve credit-related inquiries.Responsibilities: Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner Keep customer credit records up-to-date and accurate Resolve customer credit inquiries and disputes in a professional and efficient manner Monitor customer credit accounts to identify any issues or areas of concern Take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments, ensuring all actions are in line with company policies and procedures Use Excel Formulas to manage and analyze customer invoice data Enter invoices into internal systems, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date Assist with other accounting tasks and projects as required Use excellent customer service skills to maintain positive relationships with customers Collaborate with other team members to ensure a consistent and high-quality level of service is maintained at all times.Requirements Must have a strong understanding of the retail industry. Proven experience as an Accountant or similar role. Proficiency in managing and processing customer invoices. Ability to enter invoices accurately and in a timely manner. Knowledge of Excel formulas and their application in accounting practices. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify numerical errors. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines. Knowledge of financial regulations and legislation. Must have a high level of integrity and confidentiality. Excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. High level of organizational skills.
