Payroll Administrator

Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Administrator in the Chemicals Manufacturing industry, based in Morris Plains, New Jersey. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing payroll for a large number of employees, utilizing the Ceridian Dayforce system, and carrying out various accounting and auditing tasks related to payroll. Responsibilities: Process payroll for a substantial number of employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Utilize the Ceridian Dayforce system to manage payroll processing Perform various accounting functions related to payroll Conduct auditing tasks to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance Manage payroll-related benefits functions Handle payroll garnishments and resolve any related issues Manage payroll operations for employees across multiple states Use Excel for data management and analysis related to payroll functions Communicate effectively with employees and management on payroll-related inquiries Monitor and maintain accurate records of employee payroll data. Requirements Proficiency in Ceridian payroll software is essential Thorough understanding of accounting functions Experience in auditing, particularly related to payroll and benefits Knowledgeable in benefit functions and administration Experience in handling payroll garnishments Ability to manage payroll for over 500 employees Experience with multi-state payroll administration Must have a degree in finance, accounting, or related field Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations regarding pay and benefits.
