Position Details Position Information Recruitment/Posting Title Bildner Visiting Scholar Department SAS-Ctr - Study of Jewish Life Salary Commensurate With Experience Posting Summary The Allen and Joan Bildner Center for the Study of Jewish Life at Rutgers University-New Brunswick invites applications for the position of Bildner Scholar for the 2024-2025 academic year.In 2024-2025, the Bildner Scholar is a one-semester (fall or spring) appointment to a senior scholar (associate or full professor). The post-doctoral scholar's responsibilities may include, inter alia, teaching a 3-session virtual mini-course for the public, giving a faculty seminar, meeting with students, and participating in other forums to contribute to the Department of Jewish Studies and the Bildner Center. The scholar is expected to be in residence in the university area and to be actively engaged in the intellectual life of the Bildner Center and the Jewish Studies Department. All materials (a cover letter that details the scholar's research interests; a curriculum vitae; descriptions of two possible virtual mini-courses suitable for the public; two titles for possible faculty seminars; as well as the names and emails of two academic references, should be included with the application).
