We believe that the diverse experiences and perspectives of all our employees help to drive innovation and transformative business results.Chemist is responsible for following all related activities described in the BMS Policies, Directives as well as departmental and Reference Standards and Critical Reagents (RSCR) SOPs and Work Instructions related to the operation of the Reference Standards and Critical Reagents (RSCR) area and related activities. This includes subdividing the standards bulk materials, filling vials from the bulks, preparing worksheets and labels, storing bulks and vialed standards according to their storage conditions; receiving, reviewing and processing the orders; creating invoices and other shipping related documents; packaging and shipping the standards; ordering and maintaining packaging materials as needed; performing physical stock or inventory. Perform physical inspection of company's products and materials (bulk or finished stock) to assure that the proper standards of quality are maintained.Familiarity in using the RSCR data bases/systems for order processing and inventory, and responsible for entering data in the databases, when receiving materials, dispensing orders and after the physical inventory. Maintain logs of received invoices and received incoming materials. Perform routine maintenance and calibration procedures on laboratory instrumentation; monitor and record the temperatures of the storage areas and report any deviation to the management. Practical experience in using needed equipment and instruments such as analytical balances, glovebox and fume hoods; perform the incoming material identification tests; and conduct regular inventory.Train or cross-train to ensure full functionality on all laboratory equipment and procedures, analytical techniques, SOP's, GMP's, administrative and safety procedures in the laboratory. Follows good manufacturing practices, good housekeeping and safety rules; and provide feedback for improvement.Education:Bachelor’s degree with a major in chemistry, pharmacy, or the allied sciences, from an accredited collegeBristol-Myers Squibb recognizes the importance of balance and flexibility in our work environment.
