Our client is a fast-growing logistics operations company that owns, operates and manages multiple warehouses, looking to hire a Temporary to Permanent Senior Accountant. This is a highly demanding and challenging temp to full-time position based in Essex County. Salary/Hourly Rate: $23 - $27/hr
Position Overview: We are looking for a qualified Senior Accountant to undertake all aspects of financial management, including accounting, regulatory and financial reporting and budget preparation.Our commitments, which include safety, integrity, diversity & giving back to the community are the fabric of our culture and help drive the success of our business.
Responsibilities of the Temporary to Permanent Senior Accountant:
Performing detailed analysis and providing reports and financial statements as necessary
Reconciling accounts (bank, credit card, cash, insurance payments)
Maintaining General Ledger (Completing the balance sheet reconciliation for assigned accounts on a monthly basis)
Assisting in forecast planning cycles
Assisting CFO/Controller as needed
Monitoring monthly accruals and prepaid expenses
Assisting in month end close responsibilities
Researching and resolving accounting issues
Handling additional job duties as assigned
Qualifications for the Temporary to Permanent Senior Accountant:
4-6 years of related experience
Understanding of accounting fundamentals and principles
Proven analytical and organizational skills with attention to details required
Strong communication skills both verbal and written
Critical thinking and strong analytical skills
A proven track record in meeting deadlines and working collaboratively as part of a team are essential
Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, V-lookups & Macros)
This is a temporary to permanent position
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance
