Job Description:
Safe Roads Driving School is a family-owned business serving Jersey City since 2021. We’re growing fast — teaching over 150 students per month — and we’re now expanding our team of professional driving instructors. We pride ourselves on creating confident, safe, and skilled drivers through patience, professionalism, and personalized instruction.
Responsibilities:
Teach behind-the-wheel lessons to teens, adults, out-of-state, and international drivers
Provide safe, structured instruction following NJ MVC standards
Help students prepare for their road test and master everyday driving skills
Keep records of student progress and maintain clear communication with our office team
Represent Safe Roads with professionalism, punctuality, and respect
Schedule & Flexibility:
We offer 4–12 hour shifts, depending on your availability. Each lesson is 90 minutes long, with ample time in between students so you’re never rushed or double-booked.
You can choose to work:
Mornings (7:00 AM – 12:00 PM)
Afternoons (12:00 PM – 5:00 PM)
Full days (7:00 AM – 6:30 PM)
We respect your time and provide structured scheduling to avoid burnout and ensure quality lessons.
Requirements:
Good driving record
Minimum of 3 years of driving experience
Must be certified by the NJ MVC as a driving instructor
Valid DSI number
Driving abstract
Excellent customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ Years of teaching experience
Bilingual
Professional Driving Experience
Commercial Driving Experience
