Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
Valid New Jersey DOE Music Certificate (Standard, CE, or CEAS)
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver music instruction tailored to students’ needs and abilities
Assess and report on student progress
Teach music as well as general academic and citizenship skills
Adapt teaching methods for varied group sizes and abilities
Maintain classroom discipline and a positive learning environment
Manage and maintain instructional resources and records
Develop lesson plans and balanced instructional programs
Participate in professional development
Supervise students during both classroom and out-of-classroom activities
Coordinate with aides and other staff
Identify and address student needs in collaboration with school staff
Communicate student progress to parents and staff
Keep attendance and other required records
Participate in school activities and committees
Serve as a music education resource across departments
